ME/CFS Awareness Day 2026 – Standing Together for Greater Visibility

At dox42, supporting ME/CFS awareness has been an important initiative for many years. Every year, International ME/CFS Awareness Day on May 12th offers an opportunity to draw attention to a disease that remains largely invisible despite affecting millions of people around the world.

ME/CFS, or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, is a serious chronic multisystem illness that can drastically limit everyday life. Many people affected are no longer able to work, participate in social activities, or manage routine daily tasks due to extreme exhaustion and other severe symptoms. Despite its impact, awareness and understanding of ME/CFS are still far too limited.

To show our support and solidarity, dox42 once again joined the international awareness movement this year. Our website, social media presence, and office lighting turned blue throughout the day as a visible sign of support for everyone living with ME/CFS.

Awareness, however, goes beyond a single day. Earlier this year during dox42 Day, we distributed sustainable awareness bags to participants to help continue conversations around ME/CFS and encourage greater visibility for the illness.

We believe that increasing awareness is an important step toward improving research, healthcare, and social understanding for those affected. Every conversation, every shared story, and every visible sign of support helps make ME/CFS more recognized in society.
