With targeted initiatives in the areas of environmental protection, social engagement and health promotion. We actively engage as a team in charitable projects and implement sustainable initiatives. Whether it's through our solar panel installation, supporting charitable projects like SOS Children's Villages, or raising awareness about ME/CFS. Here is an overview of all our projects and actions
Solar power directly to our office
In September 2024, we installed a 5kWp solar system on the roof of our dox42 office. Since then, we have been sourcing the electricity we use daily on the three floors below from our own power source. Any excess electricity is fed into the Vienna grid.
In the image below, our energy consumption is shown in dark blue and the electricity generated by the PV system is shown in green. This means that on this day, we were able to cover almost our entire electricity consumption with our PV system.
A playing house for SOS-Kinderdorf
After nearly 10 years in the tree, our colleagues treehouse had to be dismantled due to relocation and was looking for a new purpose. The house itself was still in great condition and, thanks to the modular system from Casas Green House, it was reusable. This sparked the idea to donate it as a playhouse to a children's village. On a beautiful Sunday in September 2024, it was time to put on the work gloves.
The assembly with the voluntary help of some dox42 employees was a lot of fun, and it was a wonderful feeling to see the joy of the children who started playing in the house even during the assembly. Thanks also to the team from SOS Kinderdorf Pinkafeld for the great commitment, plus coffee and cake!
ME/CFS awareness day
Raising awareness for ME/CFS is a cause that is particularly close to the heart of dox42. For several years, we have been actively engaged in this important issue through actions and donations. International ME/CFS Day takes place on May 12th. dox42 joins the global community in drawing attention to ME/CFS – a complex, chronic illness that affects millions of people worldwide. Making a visible statement: To show our support, we are turning our office, our website, and our LinkedIn page blue on this day. Our commitment began earlier this year, when we started our awareness activities in the spring. The dox42 forest in Lüdenscheid
For us, climate protection means taking responsibility for the world of tomorrow. With PLANT-MY-TREE® we have chosen a partner that enables us to plant long-term protected trees and thus make an active contribution to CO2-Compensation and to increase biodiversity.
The trees planted as part of the project are protected for a minimum of 99 years, during which time deforestation or commercial use of the land is prohibited. The dox42 forest is part of a larger forest area that was planted in October 2024 in Lüdenscheid, as shown in the photos.
The 250 trees in our dox42 forest are part of a larger whole – both literally and figuratively. As part of our events, we give away tree certificates for five trees each to the winners of our dox42 contest. This way, each winner becomes part of our shared forest – a sustainable symbol of connection and community.
Job bicycles for our employees
Since 2024 we are an official Jobrad Österreich GmbH Partner and our dox42 bicycle fleet has already grown significantly.
Traveling in an eco-friendly way, getting some fresh air, and staying active – this makes the journey to the dox42 office even more enjoyable!
Klimaticket for all public transport
Every employee can receive a Klimaticket upon request, as we aim to promote an environmentally conscious commute. With the Klimaticket all public transportation in Austria can be used.
More space for bicycles on Austrian trains
For many of us, the bicycle is the preferred mode of transportation. Together with our Klimatickets, we would love to travel exclusively by train and bike. Unfortunately, reality often lets us down when it comes to combining both modes of transport: a lack of parking spaces and complicated booking systems often mean that the bike has to stay at home.
Therefore, we support the petition for the "Improvement of Bicycle Transport on Trains in Austria." With these measures, Austria can take another step towards sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility. Vienna Daughters' Day at dox42
Almost every year since 2016, we have welcomed interested schoolgirls to our office as part of the Vienna Daughters' Day for an exciting program – a mix of dox42, creativity and lots of fun.

2022: The participants received their first insights into office life and topics such as document automation, databases and web design. The highlight from this informative und entertaining day was a self-created, magical Hogwarts certificate. See more >>

2024: The school girls assigned themselves grades for their Hogwarts subjects and were able to design the corresponding certificates using dox42. In the process, they playfully learned technical and design skills. The results were proudly presented in a LinkedIn post. Recap of this beautiful day >>

2025: Sonja and Miriam delved deep into the world of technology and fantasy: They designed Hogwarts certificates, participated in an AI workshop, and created their own images using artificial intelligence. It was an inspiring day filled with magic, innovation, and curiosity. LinkedIn Posting >>

Support of the Marathon association
The Marathon association (German) It is a self-help group active since 1997 for parents and their children who are affected by one of the numerous muscle diseases – often these are rare conditions. Many affected children show symptoms from birth. The most common diagnoses include Duchenne muscular dystrophy and spinal muscular atrophy, but there are also many other diseases with different impacts on the muscles.
The goal of our Christmas campaign 2024 (dox42 Newsposting >>) was to raise public awareness about these diseases and the enormous challenges faced by the affected children and their families. At the same time, we aimed to directly support the affected children and their families with a donation of 1,042 euros to the Marathon association.
EU-Nature Restoration Law 2024
We are convinced that sustainable management of natural resources and a healthy ecosystem form the foundation for forward-looking and sustainable site development in Austria. As the dox42 team, we have set ourselves the goal of living these values together every day. We welcome Austria's positive decision on the EU rewilding law and urgently appeal to the nine Austrian state governors to enable the implementation of this law. The law is technically undisputed and essential for the sustainable development of Austria and Europe. Science shares this conviction too >>
Wiener Herzlauf
In 2025 some of our team members were participating at Herzlauf Wien. With their athletic commitment, they support a good cause: The proceeds from the event benefit the organization Herzkinder Österreich, which supports and promotes families with children suffering from heart conditions. Gaming for a good cause
Since 2020 Slow Runs Live collects donations during their gatherings for a good cause. In August 2024 the donations from the event were used for the German Foundation Depression Aid and Suicide Prevention. dox42 is proud to sponsor this important event and indirectly support the foundation in its vital work.
Vienna Night Run
In September 2024 our dox42-team participated in the Vienna Night Run and completed the 5 km route through the impressive nighttime scenery of Vienna with flying colors. The run passed by the city's most beautiful landmarks and offered a fantastic atmosphere for all participants. We are especially proud of our team, which attracted attention with its original name "Only dox42 Document Automation Runs Faster."
At the Vienna City Night Run, a mangrove tree is planted for each participant.
Donation to the Clara Fey School
Through donations, valuable support measures and additional projects can be realized that benefit the students of the Clara Fey Schule. These measures not only contribute to academic development but also open up new perspectives for children and adolescents in their leisure activities. We are proud to accompany the students of the Clara-Fey-Schule on their journey.

Collective blood donation
In July 2025 the dox42 employees headed together to the Austrian Red Cross to donate blood. Afterwards our colleagues refueled with some sausages and manner wafers. See our Linkedin-Post >>
Wings for Life World Run
Since 2020, we have been participating in the Wings for Life World Run a global event where 100% of the proceeds go directly to spinal cord research. As a united dox42 team, spread across various locations, we took on the challenge and collectively covered an impressive 162.87 km before the Catcher Car caught up with us! Even more significant: we exceeded our donation goal and raised over €1,042. Every euro goes directly into research projects that provide hope step by step. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who ran, donated, supported, or cheered us on. It is truly inspiring to see how far we can go together.
